The Gregory Forester is a classic full-size backpacking pack from the era when Gregory was building some seriously burly packs. At roughly 77 liters, there's plenty of room here for multi-day backpacking trips, hunting trips, winter gear, or anyone who would rather have a little extra space than try to cram everything into an ultralight pack.
The internal-frame suspension is designed to transfer the load onto the padded hip belt, with a ventilated back panel, padded shoulder harness, load-lifter straps and plenty of adjustment to dial in the fit. This one is a Medium, originally designed around a 17.5–19.5" torso. University of Houston
Storage is very good on these, with a large top-loading main compartment, sleeping-bag compartment, oversized mesh side pockets, top lid storage and multiple exterior compression and gear-attachment straps. The pack body uses heavy-duty ripstop nylon, while the black bottom is made from a waterproof, abrasion-resistant material designed to take considerably more abuse than lightweight backpack fabrics.
